Description
** JUST ANNOUNCED... THE MBA-D16 CAN NOW BE ORDERED WITH INTEL CORE i3-3217U, CORE i5-3317U, OR CORE i7-3667U PROCESSORS! THE BASE ATOM N2800, 2GB RAM, 32GB SSD CONFIGURATION IS STILL AVAILABLE AND HAS DROPPED IN PRICE!! THIS IS AN UNBEATABLE DEAL ON AN AWESOME LOOKING NETBOOK!!! **
From the electronics markets of China comes a netbook that is turning heads around the world. Inspired by the original Macbook Air, but running Windows, the D16 comes loaded with a power-sipping, dual core, 1.86GHz Intel Atom N2800 processor and 1MB L2 cache. Graphics on the Intel Atom N2800 are handled by the integrated Intel Graphics media accelerator 3650 with 384MB of shared memory using Intel DVMT technology.
UPDATE: You can now order the MBA-D16 with a lightning fast Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 processor. These just released Ivy Bridge processors sip only 17W of power but deliver awesome performance. They are dual core, 22nm process chips running at 1.8GHz-2.0GHz (3+GHz max. turbo) with a 3-6MB level 3 cache. These chips have the next generation Intel HD 4000 integrated GPU with DVMT (Dynamic Video Memory Technology). Due to the extra space required for the larger 8200mAh battery, the Intel Core i3/i5/i7 versions of the MBA-D16 sit 3mm taller than the Atom N2800 version at the front, and 1mm taller at the rear.
Stylish and sexy, super-thin with an aluminum unibody case, the MBA D16 comes standard with 2GB of RAM and a 32GB SSD. Other available upgrades include 4GB of RAM and a 64GB or 128GB SSD. For wireless connectivity, we have replaced the low quality, factory installed network card with one sporting high speed 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.1 connections. This gorgeous notebook also supports USB 3G dongles.
The screen is a 13.3" WSVGA LED backlit, active LCD display running at 1366*768 resolution. The keyboard is a very responsive and highly tactile, chicklet keyboard (sorry, it is not backlit and there are no European keyboards available, only US). Other hardware includes an integrated VGA webcam, stereo speakers, and a 4100mAh high polymer lithium-ion battery. The Intel Core i3/i5/i7 models come with double the battery, 8200mAh, and squeeze out an extra hour of use over the Atom N2800 model.
Despite its amazing thinness and sheer beauty, the MBA D16 feels extremely solid with its aluminum, unibody shell, and comes with an assortment of I/O ports including 2 full size USB2.0, mic, 3.5mm audio jack, 3in1 card reader, miniHDMI, and a special port that allows VGA output, or a RJ-45 LAN connection with an included adapter. All this is packed into a tiny 328*219*18mm package. WOW!
This is by far the best looking netbook we have seen to date, and the aluminum unibody chassis and all-metal design really give it a quality feel. We popped one open to see what the inside looked like, and we were equally impressed with the clean layout and design of the interior components. You can download a zip file of photos including interior, exterior, and comparison shots, as well as NovaBench performance scores here. You can also watch our YouTube video comparing the difference in size between the Atom N2800 and Core i3/i5/i7 models.
Factor in the great processor options and the other impressive netbook specs, and this purchase is truly a no-brainer. Why pay more from the other retailers when you can order from us factory direct and save all those rediculous middle man markups?! We buy direct from the factory in China at a huge discount, and then pass those savings along to you!
NOTE: Please be advised that the Atom N2800 model does NOT support 64 bit Windows. However the Intel Core i3/i5/i7 models DO support 64 bit Windows. We don't sell the Atom N2800 model with Windows 8 because Intel has not released a Windows 8 compatible driver for GMA 3650 integrated graphics on the Atom N2800.

1. This i3core laptop, you can put more RAM, what type of memory is, if DDR3 notebook, normal or another, I wonder until maximum RAM I can put it, I put 2 4Gb memory each, for a 8GB total.
2. Well, I saw the comment about problems with windows 7 64bit, I'm looking for a laptop for multimedia design, but not if there is a problem for a laptop with core i3, because I want to know that this is the board performance graphing video? or video card have?.
One last question: You have tested whether the versions of Linux Ubuntu works well, sometimes limiting Ubuntu on computers is not the manufacturer is compatible with Linux, I would like to know this is for me the most important. Thanks hope everything is good, because I want to buy one now!

2. There is no problem installing Windows 7 64bit in the Core i3/i5/i7 models. The Atom N2800 has a different BIOS that does not allow 64bit Windows. The Core models have Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics, there is no separate video card (just like the MacBook Air).
3. Sorry, we have no experience installing Ubuntu/Linux on this computer. Perhaps another reader can answer this question for you.
