THE FREE SHIPPING MYTH
Have a quick look around the web, and you will see many online retailers selling goods with free shipping offers. Sounds great, right? However, a quick comparison of our prices and theirs and you will see that we sell the same items for much cheaper! Why is that?
As you may already have guessed, there is no such thing as free shipping. Instead, those competitors include shipping in their price tags… artificially inflating their prices to cover the extra costs of transportation. That’s not free shipping! Those sites should really be advertising “included shipping.” What's more is that those "free" shipping methods use the cheapest and slowest means of transportation, taking a month or more to get delivered!
At TechToys2go.com, we believe that this is not the best way. Why? Customers are not all created equal. Although some people might be OK with waiting a month for their purchase, most are not. Why should everyone be forced to pay for the slowest shipping? Also, shipping methods and their costs shouldn't be the same for every customer. Real shipping costs depend on a number of factors, including buyer location, total package size and weight, as well as desired delivery method and speed. Why should you pay more in the USA, Europe or Asia to subsidize the higher shipping costs to other areas of the world? Why should you pay double or triple shipping for ordering multiple items? Why should you pay twice for shipping when you simply want to "upgrade" to a faster shipping method such as DHL? We believe our way is much more open, transparent, and honest. You pay for exactly what you want, and prices and fees are all clearly broken down for everyone to see.
Our online shopping cart system is state-of-the-art and intelligently adds up the weights of all items in your shopping cart/bag. When you go to checkout, your location is instantly looked up by IP address and a number of shipping options and prices are offered to you automatically, as well as the expected delivery times for each method. Pick the one that best suits your needs and budget, and rest assured that you are paying the actual shipping fee that we are charged for your preferred shipping method. Make changes to your items, accessories, and/or location, and see the shipping fees and running totals change in real time, automatically. Once you are satisfied with your selection, you are free to continue with your purchase or come back at a later time. At TechToys2go.com we don't force you to pay higher prices to get “free” shipping, nor do you have to pay again for an upgraded delivery method.
Delivery times are comprised of two separate parts: processing time at our warehouse, and shipping time by the delivery company or Post Office. Once your payment is received by our online system, we thoroughly inspect your purchase and prepare it for shipping. We test all the functions and ports, as well as giving units an overnight charge to make sure that the charging system is healthy. This takes up to 3 business days. We then use world famous and trusted courier DHL, or Hong Kong Air Mail for door-to-door service. Need it fast? With DHL, once our courier picks up your package, only 3 or 4 business days are required for final delivery to most major, worldwide destinations. Therefore, using DHL expedited air shipping, most orders will reach North American or European destinations within 1 week of your confirmed payment!
Regardless of shipping method, all shipments are tracked and require your signature upon delivery. We email you your tracking number within 24 hours of your shipment leaving our warehouse. Due to the high level of fraud in this industry, we take every precaution to protect ourselves and keep prices low for you, the honest buyer. We keep records of all correspondence, orders, signatures and delivery information, and will vigorously defend ourselves from any fraudulent claims made to PayPal or credit card companies.
